Markus Weber

KPN International

Markus Weber is working as senior network architect for AS286 – a transit free network – at KPN International. If you ever wanted to know what his -totally unpolitical- nickname FvD stands for, search for some early 90’s “sponger!fvd” -just for fun- Usenet postings.
Over the years he had worked and gathered experience in various areas (Unix/Windows administration, security, tooling, coding and in non-technical domains). Since over 15 years he’s now involved in the design and operation of AS286 and all the different aspects of running successfully an ISP network. Last thing you might have heard of him was the announcement of AS286 dropping all invalids, making AS286 one of the firsts – if not the first – transit free network doing so.
